Lead Ralph Earl DeCamp Road to Red Mountain Montana
An absolute masterpiece. Depicts the Road to Red Mountain in Helena Montana. 14" by 20", 23.5" by 29.5" framed. Black Lights clean with no damage or repair. Provenance Gerhard J. von der Ruhr Estate of Huson Montana. Gerhard purchased from John Howard Fine Art. Ralph Earl DeCamp (1858-1936). Ralph DeCamp was born in Attica, New York in 1858. Today, he is most remembered as a Montana landscape painter, muralist, illustrator and photographer. DeCamp spent his childhood near Milwaukee where he studied art with W.A. Sydaten. In 1871 the family moved to Minnesota where DeCamp operated a threshing business while painting and teaching. When his wife died, he studied art at Pennsylvania School of Art in Philadelphia from 1881-1882. Then in 1885 DeCamp was commissioned by the Northern Pacific Railroad to paint Yellowstone National Park. Sternfels said that the "Northern Pacific did for Ralph DeCamp what the Great Northern did for John Fery,"

Day one starts on Friday, April 16, with an assortment of fine Chinese, Japanese and Asian antiques, western prints, famous bronzes and a museum-quality Montana beer collection. On day two, April 17th, there will be an eclectic selection of paper money, fine jewelry, western art and part one of Gene Wensel's, Brothers of the Bow, hunting collection. This day also features a collection of Montana Masterpieces highlighting compositions by Joseph Henry Sharp, R.H. Mckay, Taylor Lynde, Ralph Earl DeCamp, Olaf Carl Seltzer, Harry L. Lopp, Rudy Ruana and many more. Day three concludes on April 18th, with a large assortment of rare military artifacts featuring an original ship's wheel from the U.S.S Arizona. Also, there will be helmets, badges, clothing, pins, uniforms, reloading equipment, relics, firearms, knives and much more.

All items are packed professionally and insured in house. A shipping cost will be added to your invoice at end of sale. If you have questions about cost of shipping please send us an email before auction day. For local customers, pick up is available. Please allow 1 to 2 weeks AFTER auction payment to receive a tracking number for your item. All firearm sales are shipped through Trade Brothers - located just south of Lolo, Montana. Every firearm sale has a $100 shipping, handling & transfer fee. Allow 3 to 4 weeks after payment is made for shipping on all FFL required firearm purchases.
